About .Redeemed.

Who am I?
My name is Keirstin.  I was born and raised in the south.  I love southern accents.  I was accepted Christ on September 20th, 2009 and baptized on April 4th, 2010.  I think I will be in school for the rest of my life.  I graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelors in Religion.  I am attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, pursuing my Master's in Divinity with a Concentration in Children's Ministry.  I am the Associate Children's Minister at First Baptist Church in Justin, Texas.  I praise God daily for allowing me to get paid to do what I love.

My writing?
I have been writing as long as I can remember.  I started writing songs, poems and short stories as a child.  I have every song, poem and short story somewhere in my house.  Now that everything is done electronically, I started blogging.  This is a place for me to write what I desire to write, and not have to need more storage space!

What is .Redeemed. about?
I blog about what God lays on my heart.  Sometimes it is a line from a song and sometimes it is a challenge that I am going through.  My vision for this blog is for the majority of it to be biblical sound advice.  My prayer for this blog is that you can gain something from my personal experiences.

Where do I start?
The following are the most popular posts of all time.  If you are new to .Redeemed., take a look at these posts to get a feel for the blog!

3. God Still has a Plan - This post was written when I was alone in my car crying about how I was convinced that I had messed up. God couldn't use me, I had destroyed His plan for my life. Then, I had one of those moments when God smacked me in the face, telling me that He could still use me. You can go off My path for you. I will get you back to the right path. I have great plans for you. Just trust. That's the smack in the face God gave me. [ 110 Views and Posted in April 2012 ]

2. Giving Up is Not an Option - This post was written after I was losing someone very close to me. They were far from God, had been making the steps to get closer to God, but one day just fell off of the face of the earth. I realized that giving up was not an option. I truly cared about this person and I couldn't allow what they were struggling with to effect the influence I had in their life. [ 156 Views and Posted in May 2012 ]

1. Respect Pt. 1 - This post was written from a place of frustration, as we are living in a culture where Instagramming our meal is more important than sharing a conversation with the person across the table from us.  This was the first of two posts on the topic of "respect."  This series explored frustrations of lack of respect and what the Bible says about respecting one another.  [ 952 Views and Posted on August 2012 ]
